Sisters turn dream into Morinville boutique

For sisters Sarah Guenette and Melissa Depape, opening Louie & Lola Boutique wasn't simply about starting a business. It was about bringing a long-held dream to life in the community they call home.
The boutique began as Sarah's vision, starting with local markets where she sold graphic tees, sweaters and accessories. When a storefront opportunity came up unexpectedly, the sisters took it over, renovated it and reopened it as Louie & Lola — named after Sarah's bonded pair of cats.
Since opening in September 2024, the shop has become known for offering customers something a little different: intentionally limited quantities of each style and inclusive sizing from small to XXL at affordable, mid-range pricing. Both sisters grew up in the area and say the support of the local business community has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.
Earlier this year, Louie & Lola celebrated its first anniversary, with the sisters looking ahead to expanding their online presence and growing their popular Hat Lab experience.
